Are Falls a Common Cause of Injury?

Yes, 1 in 3 adults over 65 years who live at home will have at least one fall a year, and about half of these will have more frequent falls. A fall can lead to broken bones, hospitalisation, loss of confidence and independence.

Always try to prevent or treat weak bones (Osteoporosis or Osteopenia). Eat well and include calcium and Vitamin D in your diet to improve your bone health. This will lead to less fractures if you do fall.

How Can I Prevent Myself Falling?
